John Cronin and Patrick Cronin were next charged with stealing five lambs, the property of Nathaniel and John Gardiner, at Scan, on the 12th July. appeared in evidence. that the lambs were stolen from a field of the Prosecutor’s ; they were found in the prisoner’s possession, few days afterwards ; the prisoners said on being accused of the robbery, that they had bought them at Calieruiee fair— Guilty. To be transported for 7 years. Cork Constitution, 1 Aug 1826.

Tried in Cork August 1826 and sentenced to 7 years transportation for cattle stealing. Assigned to the A.A. Company on arrival. 45807 Cronyn (Cronen) Patrick - Mariner 1827. 1828 Hunter's Hill, Luskintyre. 1828 Census. Aged 63. Hutkeeper assigned to Timothy Nowlan.
