Digitised Indent of Gorgon. John Crosby, tried at Chester Gen. Sess. 3 Sep 1789, 7 years. -------------------------------------------------------------- Isaac Crosby, the younger, and John Crosby, his Brother, charged with breaking into the House of John Newton, of High Legh, in this County, Yeoman, and stealing forty Guineas in Gold, eight Shillings and Sixpence in Silver, and some Halfpence, the Property of the said John Newton ; also of one red and white Silk Handkerchief, the Property of John Newton, the younger; and one Silver Watch, a Chain, Seal, and Key, the Property of William Newton. Chester Chronicle, 1 Sep 1789 Isaac and John Crosby, for stealing forty Guineas in Gold, and eight Shillings, in Silver, were sentenced for transportation. Chester Chronicle, 11 Sep 1789.
