Family connections for Thomas (Cross) are: Some amendments added Jul 2025. CROSS Thomas (Cross) was born about 1775. He was tried for sheep stealing at Hertford Hertfprdshire Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 29 9 1811 after a voyage of 8months on ADMIRAL GAMBIER. He married Martha (Brian age16) on 10 4 1814 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. In 1815 he operated a horse & cart with his brother in law John (Crowley/Crawley) carrying goods for workers on Blue Mountains Rd. He was recorded in 1828 & 1830 as a farmer. He died in 1843 age68. [Some details taken from this Website] Martha (Brian) was born on 26 6 1798 & baptised on 5 8 1798 at St Johns CofE Parramatta; she was apparantly fathered by William (Eaton) (or was it a misspelt William (Liste) but adopted by William (Bryant). She died on 31 9 1839 age41. Details of Martha (Brian)s family are given in entry for William (Bryant PITT 1792) on this Website. Martha (Brian) & Thomas (Cross) produced at least 8children: 1.Mary (Cross) was born on 23 9 1814 & baptised on 27 7 1817 age3 w/sister Elizabeth & cousins John & Elizabeth (Crawley) at St Peters CofE Richmond. She died in 1886 age about71. 2.Elizabeth (Cross) was born on 11 7 1816 & baptised on 27 7 1817 age1 w/sister Mary & cousins John & Elizabeth (Crawley) at St Peters CofE Richmond. She died on 22 7 1836 age20+. ..3.Jane (Cross) was born on 9 7 1818 & baptised on 7 8 1818 at St Peters CofE Richmond-her mothers name is also recorded as Martha Eaton (Bryant). She married George (Wood) on 29 4 1834 at St Peters CofE Richmond. She died on 30 9 1888 age70. ....George (Wood) was born in 1807or10. He died on 26 10 1881 age about74 at Windsor. ....Details of George (Wood)s family are given in entry for John (Wood ALBERMARLE 1791) on this Website. .. 4.Sophia (Cross) was born on 27 7 1820 & baptised on 27 8 1820 w/cousin William (Crowley/Crawley) at St Peters CofE Richmond. She died on 8/10 9 1820 age6w & was buried, as (Cross/Croft), at St Peters CofE Richmond. 5.William (Cross) was born on 31 7 1821 & baptised on 26 8 1821 at St Peters CofE Richmond. He died on 5 6 1868 age46. 6.Thomas (Cross) was born on 27 10 1823 & baptised on 23 11 1823 w/cousin Eliza (Crowley) at St Peters CofE Richmond. He died on 3/5 1 1826 age27m & was buried at St Peters CofE Sydney. 7.John (Cross) was born on 9 5 1828 at Richmond & baptised on 5 6 1828 at St Peters CofE Richmond. 8.George (Cross) was born on 26 9 1830 at Richmond & baptised on 24 10 1830 w/cousin Mary Anne (Crowley) at St Peters CofE Richmond.
