The ‘Guildford’ was built on the River Thames, England in 1810. Used as a Convict Transport ship to Australia - voyages 1812, 1816, 1818, 1820, 1822, 1824, 1827 & 1829. The ship was lost at sea near Singapore in 1831, loosing all aboard.

On Thursday last ten male convicts were removed from our Gaol to be put on board the hulks at Ports- mouth, viz. Samuel Marlton, Gabriel Nichols, John Abbott, Charles Webb, David Bugg, Abraham Bacon, Joseph Ratliffe, and Allan Crossman, to be transported for life ; and William Smith and Abraham Rule, for seven years. Bryant, Esq. from a fold a field Exning; Allen Crossman, for having broken into the dairy of Mrs. Bull, of Nether-hall Burcs. 1824/25 General Muster - Newcastle - Assigned to Rev. Milldeton. 1828: Allan died aged 39 at Newcastle.
