Hobart Town Gazette, 4 Mar 1825 Absconded prisoners William Crowhurst, 621, 5 ft. 5 in. brown hair, blue eyes, 40 years of age, farmer's labourer, tried at Kent, July 31,1823, sentence life, arrived in this Colony per Phoenix (2d) 1824, native place Hawling, near Chatham, defective sight, bald top of head, a bird, W. C. right hand, ring pocked on little finger, and finger crippled in the same hand, a mole on right cheek near the mouth, absconded from the Prisoners' Barracks, Nov. 27,1824.—£2 Reward.
