Convict Notes

Usually recorded as Mary Anne. She gave birth to daughter Frances at the Parramatta Female Factory in 1819 and married the father, Edward Doolan (Dooley, Dowland, etc) in 1820 at Parramatta. Doolan had arrived on Britannia in 1797. A son Richard Doolan was born in 1823. She was granted a certificate of freedom in 1824 but accompanied Edward Doolan to Port Macquarie when he was sentenced to servitude there following a further conviction. She and son Richard are listed with Samuel Willis in 1828 census. Date of death not clear but probably 1856 or 1858.
