Convict Notes




Maurice Cullen and Patrick Murphy, stealing a mule from Grange, County Carlow, in June last. It appeared that four days after the mule was stolen it was found in the possession of John Hayden, of Garrick-on-Suir, who had bought it from the prisoners for £5, and they had divided the money between them— Guilty. Tipperary Free Press, 22 Aug 1827.

They had 3 children, Mary, Catherine, Maurice. 1854: Maurice died at Glebe, NSW. 2/12/1854 Sydney Morning Herald: FUNERAL.—The Friends of Mr. MauriceCullen are respectfully invited to attend his funeral. The procession to move from his late residence, Glebe-street, Glebe, THIS DAY, at 3 o'clock precisely. R. HANSLOW, undertaker, George-street South.
