CON41-1-20 Image 22 No; 925. Aged; 21 years old


Born about 1827. Mother: Johanna; Brothers Teddy or Edward, James, Thomas - all in Co Cork. Single at conviction, could neither read nor write. First convicted of breaking glass (2 weeks + 1 month) then convicted of "burning a house... committed the offence to be transported." Occupation "house servant" in conduct, "kitchen maid" in indent. Surgeon's report describes her as "middling". Indent: "12 months on the Town". 23 May 1854 approved to marry William Stroud per "H. Porcher" A note in conduct record that they married on 31 July 1854 - need to confirm with further records.
