Gloucester Assizes ... but the trials at the Crown Court were not closed till Thursday. less than forty-three prisoners were capitally convicted, and received  sentence of Death, viz. … Saml. Culiss,... for stealing sheep. The capital convicts were all reprieved, except ... Hereford Journal, 15 April 1818
