Digital Indent, per ship Albemarle. John Cummings, tried at Justice Hall Old Bailey, Middlesex, 8 Dec 1790, Life. -------------------------------------------------------------- On 8 Dec 1790, (in the supplementary material of the Old Bailey) John Cummings was one of several prisoners, whose Death sentences were commuted, conditional to Transportation for Life. His original trial was on 13 January 1790, when he was tried for Highway robbery, found guilty and sentenced to death. His age was recorded as 23 years old.
