1866 - Queen's Orphan School. Application for admission. FATHER; Ward. Ship; Unknow supposed free CHILD; - William Ward. Remarks; The mother of this boy was married to James Blinkworth per Isabella. He died on the 6 Sept last in H.M. General Hospital. Lived with him a few years and had 2 children by him a boy & a girl, they are how with Jane Parsons?? down the Huon. She subsequently left the husband and cohabitated with a man named WARD a sailor and had two children with him, the boy in question and a girl who is with the mother. Ward has long since left the colony. The mother is now cohabitating with a man named William Russell of Handy Bay The boy was put on shore from a craft Emily Smithers - Master George Watts. on the 10th instant & was wandering the streets in a deplorable condition The boy states his mother has gone to Melbourne
