He was tried at Shrewsbury town Quarter Sessions Shropshire in October 1815, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 5 10 1816 after a voyage of 5months on ELIZABETH. He was a gardener when he married Charlotte (Cubitt age15 her first marriage) on 24 10 1820 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was recorded in 1821 as Government employee (convict?). In February 1822 he was charged with 2burglaries (1of Thomas (Ruston), on 17 11 1821, at Sydney Sydney Court of Criminal Jurisdiction, was sentenced separately to Life & Death reprieved on 15 4 1822 after petition from his wife to Life for a period at Port Macquarie, where he was sent on 3 5 1822 on SALLY & served with hard labour & in irons; he was recorded in 1822 as Government employee at Port Macquarie. He was in hospital on 28 5 1824 & died about August 1824 age33 at Port Macquarie & was buried at Allmans Hill historic cemetery. He is herein recorded as dying about August 1824.
