Family connections for Elizabeth (Curten) are: CURTEN Elizabeth (Curtan) was born about 1780/3. She was tried at Morpeth Northumberland in September 1800, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 12 1801 after a voyage of 6.5months on Fleet ship NILE. She, as (Curten), is recorded in 1806 Free by Servitude-&, as (Curtin), a concubine no children-working for John (Griffiths). She was an emancipist when she married Robert (Williams his second marriage on 11 5 1807 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was tried for horse theft from Elizabeth (Wilkinson) at Launceston Cornwall Assizes on 25 3 1786, sentenced to death reprieved to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 1 1788 after a voyage of 8.5months on First Fleet ship SCARBOROUGH. He married firstly Elizabeth (Young) on 11 9 1791 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was Free by Servitude by 1795. He is recorded in 1806 Free by Servitude working for John (Griffiths). He died on 8 7 1811 age49 father of 2children. She produced 1known child in her lifetime. [William Edward (Green) was born about 1771. He was tried w/1other for stealing linen cloth, on 15 5 1790, from shop of John (Thwaits) in Holborn at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship ATLANTIC. He was Free by Servitude by 1811. He died on 3 2 1824 age53 at Richmond & was buried at St Peters CofE Richmond.
