John Curzon (Egerton) was convicted at Knutsford 11/04/1849 for breaking and entering a barge and stealing clothes. Previous convictions for stealing and vagrancy. 14 yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Lady Kennaway' arriving 28/05/1851. Aged 28yrs; single; waterman; 5'7 1/2"; Church of England; native place of birth - Winsford. Brother - Thomas Sisters - Sarah & Harriet. Probation period 42 mths. Norfolk Island. Trs to Van Diemen's Land, Port Arthur 29/09/1852. Numerous reports of misconduct. 07/04/1857: Ticket of Leave 21/03/1865: Certificate of Freedom
