Trial 1 Apr 1846 for assault (beating of Michael Morgan coming from a market) Desc: married, 5'6.25" tall, can read a little but not write, RC, from Rockfield, Co Roscommon IRE Gang Probation at Darlington for 2 years 6 months TOL 24 Jun 1850 Certificate of Freedom 25 Apr 1853 Common law marriage (no record found) - Elizabeth Ellis, they had 7 children together (born 1 Nov 1855; 26 Jan 1858; 19 Jul 1860; 5 Oct 1862; 21 Apr 1864; 9 Sep 1866; 6 Oct 1874) Died 11 Feb 1875 at Pittwater of inflammation in the lungs brought on by a bad cold
