Laurence was 55 years old when transported. So many spellings of his surname, Cushnagan, Coshnagham, Corraghin. 20/5/1840: Tried in Sydney for horse theft. He was the assigned servant of Mr McArthur of Bathurst for 4 years, then was sent to Sydney with 5 horses to sell, but sold them for £10 under the value and was then charged with stealing by Mr McArthur. Sentenced to 10 years transportation. 1840: Transported to Norfolk Island. Spent 4 years there. 6/6/1844: Arrived in VDL per Lady Franklin from Norfolk Island. Laurence was then aged 68, 5'2 1/2" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes, lost one of his front teeth, slightly pockpitted, RC, could read and write a little. 5/12/1845: TOL 30/1/1849: CP Laurence had been married in Ireland and had 2 male children. 1846: Married Bridget Franklin per "Mary Anne 1841". Bridget was 41 years old when she married Laurence, had been married to John Franklin, Liverpool and had 7 children. She was transported for stealing cloth. No dates of death found.
