1844, 29 May: William Cusine, labourer, died at Cockatoo Valley in the Hamilton district (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD35-1-18p144j2k). An inquest the following day found there were no marks on his body and he had died of "a visitation of God" (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/SC195-1-13-1107).

1833: On arrival in VDL, he was single and a clerk. He said he had been transported for stealing a hat, and had a previous conviction for stealing a pair of shoes (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-7$init=CON31-1-7p240). 1835: Muster -- he was assigned to Public Works (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1839, 6 May: William Cusine received a Ticket of Leave (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-7$init=CON31-1-7p240). 1841: Muster -- holder of a Ticket of Leave (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). --0--

Tried at High Court, Edinburgh. Accused: William Cusine, alias Cusini, William, Verdict: Guilty, Sentence: Transportation - 7 years Previous convictions: theft (see National Records of Scotland; Reference JC26/1833/587). --00-- 1833, 1 April: William Cusine, 38, was received aboard the Justitia prison hulk at Woolwich. He was sent from there for transportation on 11 June 1833 (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
