Samuel Dale was 36 years old on arrival in WA. Samuel was single, 5'5 3/8" tall, light brown hair, light blue eyes, dark complexion, stout, semi literate. 2/2/1860: TOL 10/5/1861: Expiree. Was re-convicted in WA for forgery, and also larceny, spent more time in jail. 1883: Samuel died at the Lunatic Asylum at Fremantle. 19/2/1883 The Daily New, Perth: An inquest was held, a day or two ago, at the Fremantle Lunatic Asylum, on the remains of a patient named Samuel Dale. After having heard the medical evidence, the jury returned a verdict of 'death from natural causes.'
