The 1825 Journey. The ship Mariner, Captain Fotherley, arrived from Ireland with female prisoners, on Sunday evening. She left the Cove of Cork, the 12th of March, and brings 112 female prisoners, having lost only one on the passage. A few passengers also came per this opportunity. Register of General Courts Martial. Private Henry Deley, 11th Foot Regt, tried at Tralee Barracks, 3 May 1826. Proceeding laid before the King, 27 June 1826. Charges: Desertion & making away with his Regimental Necessaries. Sentence: Transportation as a Felon for Life, & sent to New South Wales.
