1851: aged 18yrs; housemaid; 5'0 1/4"; fresh complexion, freckles; red hair; dk blue eyes; single woman; scar on right cheek. Native place of birth: County Clare, Ireland. Ship Surgeon's Report: Very good. Assignments in Colony of VDL: New Town Farm; Brickfields Depot; Ticket of Leave granted 28/11/1854 Marriage: Permission granted. Married Thomas Winterbottom 26/03/1855 Hobart district. (Index records Honora as "Daly" - no 'e' in name.) Ref. 396/1855-37. Thomas was transported per 'Lady Montagu 1852. Conditional Pardon granted 17/06/1856. CHILD: John Winterbottom b. 11/04/1856 Spring Bay District, Tasmania. Ref. 364/1856-33.




Honora Daley was convicted at Co. Clare, Ireland on 26/02/1850 for houseburning. 15yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blackfriar', arriving 29/05/1851.
