31st august 2014 I am the great great great grandson of Sarah Macfarlane whose throat Augustus Dalmas slit. My mother, June Macfarlane would like this fact not forgotten




I am a direct descendent of Augustus Dalmas, and have the Family Bible that he gave to Caroline (his daughter) after he was set free. DEATH NOTICE: "DALMAS -On the 20th October, 1874, at the residence of his son-in-law, E G. Crowhurst, 2, Garden Crescent, Hobart Town, Tasmania, Augustus Dalmas (of Tours, France),aged 79 years, formerly of the fire of Graves and Dalmas, Thames Bank, Chelsea. English, Sydney, and French papers please copy. The funeral will take place on Thursday next, at 10 o'clock a.m." (Mercury newspaper 28 Oct 1874.)




Got saved from death sentence by George washington walker. Daughter came out to Australia from England to live with Augustus before he got set free. Caroline Dalmas and George washington Walker helped make Augustus A free man with no sentence.




Augustus died at Hobart.
