Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry. Philip Dalton, age on arrival, 26, Bencoolen, 1819. Tried 1818 at Dublin City, 7 years. DOB 1793, Native place, Wicklow Co. Trade, Hostler. ---------------------------------------------------- On Monday last sailed for Hobart Town, the ship, Admiral Cockburn, Captain Briggs. She conveys to that settlement 130 male prisoners, which were transhipped from the Bencoolen, under guard of a party of the 48th, commanded by Lieutenant O'Brien. Sydney Gazette, 11 Sept 1819. -------------------------------------------------- GOVERNMENT PUBLIC OFFICE Secretary's Office, Hobart Town. December 7, 1825, The undermentioned persons have obtained Certificates of Freedom during the last Week.
