Family connections for Mary (Daniels) are: DANIELS Mary (Daniels) was tried at Essex Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 5 1804 after a voyage of 6months on EXPERIMENT. She had a first relationship with William (Collins) his first relationship) & produced 2children.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] William (Collins) (maybe nephew of David (Collins) Governor Tasmania on same voyage) was born about 1760 & became a naval officer. He arrived at Port Phillip on 4 10 1803 after a voyage of 7+months on OCEAN (supply ship with HMS CALCUTTA); camping at what is now Sorrento/Sullivans Bay (an expedition that settled in Tasmania). He undertook a voyage in an open boat, to report unsuitability of Port Phillip, from Port Phillip to Port Jackson, arriving in November 1803 on OCEAN which had overtaken him & provided passage. On 2 4 1804 he was appointed Harbour Master at Hobart, from which he resigned in August 1804 to become a settler; he established the bay whaling industry on Derwent. He mastered the 250ton SOPHIA from 1804 to 1807 between Hobart & Sydney. He married secondly Charity (Hobbs) on 8 10 1808 at St Davids CofE Hobart Town. In his Will of 3 1 1810 he provided for both his children. He sailed to Calcutta in 1819 on DUKE OF WELLINGTON as agent for Palmer & Co. He died about 1819 age about59 in India of cholera father of perhaps 7children. Details of William (Collins)s family are given in entry for Thomas (Eddington ALEXANDER 1788) on this Website. .. >>>Mary (Daniels) married secondly John (Pilmire) on 9 8 1807 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She produced 2known children in her lifetime. John (Pilmire) was born about 1774 in Germany & became a cordwainer. He served with PMS Hussars from 1792-96. He enlisted in NSW Corps on 23 8 1796 in UK as private. He arrived in NSW with NSW Corps on 2 6 1797 after a voyage of 9months on GANGES. In 1798 he was detached to (Rowley)s company where he remained until 1802 when he was detached to (Wilson)s company. In 1808 he was detached to (Steele)s company & in 1809 to 6company. He died as John (Pilmore) on 2/3 11 1809 age35 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
