Family historians believe he is related to William Darke of Aston Juxa, Birmingham, who son was Henry Hyett Darke (Birmingham) and Henry Montford Darke migrated to Port Philip. Henry Montford Darke m. Maryanne Burrows sister of Thomas Burrows migrated 1852 on the "Bride" and sister to James & William Burrows migrated "Maitland" 1849 to Port Philip.
