Mary Ann DARKE was convicted at Worcester City on 16 Oct 1837 for stealing a gown and hat. Gaol Report: bad character, sullen disposition, connections poor, but honest. Several other charges against her. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Nautilus' arriving 1 Sept 1838. Single woman. Died 7 Jan 1840. (Ref: Convict Conduct Record)
