Daniel Carmody was 19 years old when transported on the Norfolk (3) which arrived in NSW 9/2/1832. Daniel was a White-boy, these were the first Tenant's Protection Society and Agricultural Labourer's Union in Ireland, which started to protect farmer's and workers from high land rents and being evicted off the land. The crime was robbing a house of firearms. The robbery took place in a house in Ballygurteen, in County Tipperary. At the time his parents were still living. 21/6/1832: Assigned to Timothy Nowlan, Hunter's River. Could not find him on the convict register or in the BDM's.
