Elizabeth DAVIES (alias Barratt) was convicted at Chester on 26 June 1837 for obtaining money under false pretence, from her Master. 7yr transportation sentence. Gaol Report: bad character, respectable connections. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Atwick' arriving 24 Jan 1838. Stated as married, but also later on as single. 20 June 1838: Absent and remain at large until apprehended. Sentence extended by 6 months. 1839: at Richmond, Tasmania. 13 May 1844: Ticket of Leave granted.
