My family during his illness was supported partly through my labor and the aid of benevolent friends. My husband and has no relation in the Colony. I have a sister in the County who is married, her husband is a shepherd, she has assisted me throughout the illness of my husband but is not in a condition to take any of my children as she has 7 little ones of her own & i must seek service to support myself and my youngest child, Ellen Hyde who is a year & a half old. My husband was a member of the Church of England and I want my children to be brought up in the religion of their father, My children are all well behaved and have not contracted vicious habits I am anxious to get them to the Queens Asylum that they may when I am separated from them and be at service be granted from the vicious example and conduct of the children Signed Mary Hyde. Married James Connors (Hyderabad) 23 Apr 1866 in Westbury. Mary & James had children Mary died at the residence of her daughter Bridget in WA 26 July 1902 of stomach cancer and heart failure
