Baptised Wilsford, Wiltshire on 30 September 1798, the son of Thomas and Ann Davis (nee Andrews). Leader of the Woodborough Rioters and Swing Riot Captain, responsible for machine breaking in Woodborough and Alton Barnes, Wiltshire. Sentenced to Transportation for Life at Wiltshire Special Commission. Died Liverpool Hospital, NSW, shortly after arrival in Australia.
