Convict Applications to Marry John Davis, alias John Mehegan, per Eliza 3, age 39, 7 years, Free; and Johanna Fitzgibbon, per Surrey (4), age 23, 7 years, Bond. Date of permission, 3 June 1836, Sydney. No marriage found.




John Davis was indicted for stealing a sheep. the property Daniel Collins, at Ballyvolane, on the December. The sheep was stolen from a field of the prosecutor’s, and discovered it, along with two others, which were also stolen, by a policeman, in the prisoner's house. Guilty—Sentence of death was recorded against the prisoner. Cork Constitution, 5 April 1827.
