On Thursday the following prisoners, convicted at the present Sessions, were brought up for sentence : - John Davis and John Riley, for the murder of James Matthews, on the 16th March last Death. John Davis - 8 June 1840 - Hanged at Hobart for the murder of James Matthews in Warwick St. Hobart
