N.B. There are two people named "John Davis" on this sailing of the 'David Lyon' 1830. John Davis was convicted at Middlesex, London on 10 April 1828 for stealing a saddle and horse combs. Previous conviction and prison. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Lane (Tasmania) on the ship 'David Lyon' arriving Aug 1830. Aged 18yrs; carter and blacksmith; single man. Native place: London Assignments in Colony. Free by servitude 1835.
