John Davis, John Miles, William Bennett, for having the night of the 11th May, at the parish of Chevening, feloniously stolen a black cart horse, and black cart mare. John Davis, Guildford (5), Residence, Sydney, Assigned to Mr Winder, 24 July 1822. -------------------------------------------------- TUESDAY,—John Nichols, Patrick Fox, William Bryant, Daniel Ryan, and John Davis, prisoners of the Crown, in the assigned service of A. K. Mackenzie, Esq. and Mr. Jones, at Bathurst, were indicted for a Burglary on the premises of Mr. Mackenzie, on the night of the 23rd of December, at Bathurst, and stealing certain property belonging to Mr. J. P. Mackenzie. Verdict—Guilty. The Monitor, Sydney, 2 Mar 1827. CRIMINAL SIDE- TUESDAY, 13TH .-The following prisoners received sentence. John Nichols, Patrick Fox, William Bryant, and Daniel Ryan, assigned servants of Mr. A. K. Mackenzie, Esq. convicted of Burglary in the premises of the same at Bathurst. Death. John Langridge and John Davis, of Bathurst, free labourer, for sheep stealing.—Judgement of Death Recorded ; and Robert Ford, of the same place, free labourer, of the same place, for receiving the same. - 14 years transportation. WHEREAS THE THREE under-mentioned PRISONERS contrived to effect their ESCAPE from the Gaol in Sydney on the Morning of Saturday last, the 17th Instant ; NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a REWARD of TWENTY POUNDS will be paid for each, to any Person or Persons who may apprehend and lodge them safely in one of His Majesty's Gaols :— WILLIAM WARD, the Ship Dick, a Native, of Gunthorpe, 24 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, sallow complexion, brown fair, hazle eyes, and by Trade a Stocking Weaver.
