Reference Number: t18520920-885 Offence: Royal Offences > coining offences Verdict: Guilty > pleaded guilty Punishment: Transportation MARY ANN DAVIS , alias JAMES , feloniously uttering counterfeit coin, having been before convicted for a like offence: to which she Pleaded GUILTY .— Transported for Seven Years. Mary Ann Davis was 24 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for 'Uttering bad coins'. Mary Ann was 4'11" tall, dark complexion, black hair and eyes, could read and write, married with 1 child, M.PR. E RF - CPI heart L on right arm, protestant. 7/10/1859: Certificate, Hobart. 28/12/1864: Hobart/Larceny under £5 - 3 months hard labour.
