Melmoi or Melmor Davis was convicted at Dorset on 02/01/1832 for stealing. Previous convictions for horse stealing and poaching. 7yr transportation sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Lord William Bentinck', arriving 25/08/1832. Hulk Report: Good Married man, wife Elizabeth and 2 (?) children at native place near .....ford. Assignments in Colony: 1840 road gang, in chains. Died Launceston, Tasmania on 30/07/1841.
