n.b.: there are two men named Samuel Davis on this sailing of the 'Hibernia'. This Samuel was convicted at CCC, London. Identifier 2. Samuel Davis was convicted at CCC, London 9 Sept 1818 for stealing a book and money. Life Sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Hibernia' arriving 1819. Hulk Report: good Gaol Report: No confession taken Captain's Report: Bad character 5'1"; brown hair; blue eyes; aged 26yrs; tattoo on right arm. Native Place: Worcester, England. VDL: Clear Conduct Record. Conditional Pardon granted 3 Oct 1833. No. 531. Free Pardon granted 29 Oct 1839. No. 490.
