Family connections for William (Davis) are: DAVIS Noted a William (Davis) was tried probably at Old Bailey, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivey) & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6.5months on Fleet ship SALAMANDER. He may have been issued his Conditional Pardon in February 1797. He enlisted in NSW Corps in Sydney on 2 9 1797 as a private. In 1798 he was detached to (Johnston)s company until 1800 when he was detached to Norfolk Island with Foveaux)s company. In 1808 he was detached to (Lamb)s company; then to (McArtur)s & 8Company in 1809.
