The guard consists of Lieutenant Donelan, 57th Regt, with a detachment of the same corps. Dr. Osborne, R. N. is the Surgeon Superintendent. Passengers, Mr. Drew and Mr. Stubbs. An order has received the High Sheriff of the county, to stay the execution of William Power and James Wool, found guilty of uttering forged notes of the Bank Ireland; Jeremiah M‘Carthv, for highway robbery Malachy Dawley sen., Malachy Dawley, jun., Michael Dawley and John Broderick, for burglary and felony near Kanturk; William Fitzgerald, James Condon, Edmund Condon and John Lee for burglary and felony near Michaelston; William Ryan and Thomas Fitzgibbon also for burglary and felony- all all of whom were sentenced to die the 1st June. Drogheda Journal, 1 May 1824.

Malachy DAWLEY (the younger) was convicted at Cork, Ireland in 1824 for burglary. His father, also named Malachy DAWLEY was co convicted of the same offence. Both received Life Sentences and transported to New South Wales, Australia per the ship 'Lonach' in 1825. A Michael DAWLEY was also convicted and transported, so possibly a brother (?) Aged 31yrs; a shearer. Native place: Cork Co., Ireland Father: Malachy DAWLEY
