Daniel Day was convicted at Wiltshire on 15/07/1837 for breaking into a Grannery (with H. Hutchins, also convicted & onboard same ship). 14yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Lord William Bentinck', arriving 25/08/1838. Married man - wife Betsey, at native place. Born abt 1811 Devizes, Wiltshire. Grey eyes; dk brown hair; 5'7"; aged 27yrs; ploughman & can milk. Assignments in Colony. Ticket of Leave 08/10/1844 Conditional Pardon 21/09/1847
