On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. Sydney Gazette, Sat 7 Jun 1817. -------------------------------------------------- Convicts who sailed on the 'Mary' direct from Ireland - 1819 & 1836 - are currently being listed, incomplete data to date.

11/4/1821 Bury and Norwich Post Suffolk, England: Timothy Day, for stealing one sheep, the property of Thomas Hills, of Waldingfield. Listed as 34 years old onboard the 'Mary' in 1822. Birth dates listed: 1788, 1774, 1786, 1776. Colonial Secretary Papers: DAY, Timothy. Per "Mary", 1822 1822 Jan 28: On list of convicts landed from the "Mary" and forwarded to Parramatta for distribution (Reel 6008; 4/3504A p.358) 1828 Census: Ploughman, Timothy Day, O'Dee, born 1776 England. 1830: TOL, Cooke. 20/7/1837: CP 13/1/1866: Timothy died at Brownlow Hill, Camden, NSW and was buried 15/1/1866 at St John's Church of England, Camden.
