CON52/p200 May 1844 - Jose Detarres "Lord William Bentinck" & Margaret Galvin "Royal Admiral" Marriages Launceston - Year 1844 Register 37, Reg. # 949 3rd June 1844 Launceston, Tasmania Joseph De-Torres aged 30 yrs and Margaret Galvin aged 23 yrs. Tasmanian Archives "Publican Licences" 1852 Joseph Detores - "The Exchange Wine Vaults" Hotel, Launceston 1852 Joseph Detores - "Gold Digger's Return" Hotel, cnr Charles & Patterson-streets, Launceston The Maitland Mercury (NSW)- Sat. 23rd Jan., 1875 states he was the publican of the "Royal Hotel", Parkes NSW. Australian Town & Country Journal Sat. 2nd March 1878 Page 28 - Probates & Administrations states: Joseph Detores of Rankin-street, Forbes, Bootmaker, died 6th Feb., 1876 [and as his wife was deceased also], his estate went to his son-in-law George Hutchinson. NSW BDM Index: 1876/6021 Forbes- Joseph A Detores - parents Charles J and Mary. Not found Margaret Galvin (convict # 25468 "Royal Admiral" departed London May 7, 1842 Arrived Tasmania Sept. 24, 1842} death date. BDM Index: 1878/5719 Forbes- Margaret Detores - parents Patrick Galvin and Mary. Joseph and Margaret had 6 children all born Launceston Tasmania. The 2 below did not make it to New South Wales. Charles De-Tores b. March 5, 1845 & died 1853 in Launceston & the last child born Margaret Victoria Detores b. Oct. 4, 1852 she also died in Launceston in 1853.
