HAMILTON: this vessel has brought 6 male prisoners from India, destined for Port Jackson; to which place it is expected she will sail to-morrow. Hobart Town Gazette, 24 May 1817. Ship News. On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. FOUND! 1825: Jeremiah DACEY (DEASHY) – Ticket of Leave #252/2649 – Mary 1819, labourer, Sydney (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster A-L 1825). 1825, 10 May: Jeremiah DEASHY – Certificate of Freedom #25/3644 – per Mary (1), 1819; convicted Cork City, Summer 1818, seven years; native place Co Cork; labourer; 62, 5’3½”, ruddy complexion, brown to grey hair and bald, hazel eyes (see NSW, Australia, Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867).


1819: Jeremiah DEASHY 56, 5’4½”, dark sallow complexion, black to grey hair and bald, hazel eyes, native place County Cork (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).


1825: Jeremiah DACEY per Mary 1819, 7 years; labourer, Sydney (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1832, 25 January: Sydney Quarter Sessions – Jeremiah DACEY, charged with uttering counterfeit coin; to be imprisoned in H.M. Gaol of Sydney for six calendar months (see Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser, Thu 26 Jan 1832, p2).


1821, 8 September: Jeremiah DAISEY, Town Gang; on list of all persons victualled from H.M. Magazines (see NSW Colonial Secretary's Papers, 1788-1856). 1822: Jeremiah DACEY – Ticket of Leave, per Mary, 7 years, labourer, Sydney (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849; NSW General muster 1822). However, I can find no Ticket of Leave records referring to him.


1819, 23 April: Cork City – Jeremiah Deashy, 56, labourer; tried Summer 1818; “Coining Bank Tokens”, seven years (see NSW Convict Ship Muster Rolls and Related Records, 1790-1849, Mary 1).
