Family connections for Joseph (Delandre) are: Some amendments added Aug 2025. DELANDRE Joseph (Delandre) was born in 1797 in Dublin Ireland & became a grocers boy/apprentice. He was tried for stealing a ring at Dublin city in 1814, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 13 1 1819 after a voyage of 6months on TYNE; he was Catholic 5'7" dark medium? complexion brown hair hazel eyes. He is recorded in 1828 as a shopkeeper at Windsor. He married Mary Ann (Izzard age16) on 13 10 1829 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. He died on 27 3 1853 age56 at MacDonald River. Some details taken from this website] Mary Ann (Izzard) was born on 23 8 1813 at Windsor/Castlereagh & baptised on 13 2 1814 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. She was baptised again, as (Delander nee Izzard) ,on 7 8 1830 at St Marys RC Sydney. She died in 1850 age about37 childbirth? at Wollombi. Joseph was born 1797 in Dublin and when aged 22 was tried in 1814 at Dublin City and sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing a ring. Description: grocer's apprentice, Height: 5'7", Complexion: dark medium?, Hair: brown, Eyes: hazel He was transported aboard the ship Tyne arriving in Sydney 4 Jan 1819. The Tyne was 462 tons and carried 180 Irish male convicts and 95 passengers from Cork, Ireland. There was one death on the voyage. She was launched in 1806 and had previously travelled to Batavia and india. Death: 27 Mar 1853 in Macdonald River, New South Wales

Joseph is recorded in the 1828 Census: Page 120... [Ref D0708] Delandre, Joseph, 30, FS, Tyne, 1819, 7 years, Catholic, Shopkeeper at Windsor. also recorded in Windsor was: Page 217... [Ref J1123] Izard, Mary, 15, Born in the colony. The next year, October 13th 1829, Joseph aged 31 married 16 year old Mary. Mary was the daughter of John Izzard (Convict, 1802, "Perseus") and Ann Scott. The mother, Ann, was herself, the daughter of Edward Scott (Sailor, 1790, "Lady Juliana") and Mary Ann Pardoe (Second Fleet Convict, 1790, "Lady Juliana").
