Extracts from the Queen's County Grand Jury Indictment Book. Lent Assizes 1830- Wm Delany, Indicted for Feloniously attacking a dwelling house & firing shots. Witnesses Examined: John Hanlon Hugh Beale Hugh B Wray Grand Jury found the indictment was "A true Bill" John Connor William Delany Laurence Shortall, Indicted for "Feloniously firing at the Police". Witnesses Examined: Richard Madden John Stoker Richard Whitehead Richard Biddulph John Hanlon Hugh B Wray Hugh Beale Grand Jury found it was a "True Bill". William Delaney and Laurence Shortall were found guilty of attacking the house of John Hanlon, and for firing at Richard Biddulph-sentenced to be transported for 7 years.
