Samuel Denny/Denney was convicted at Essex on 05/03/1838 for sheep stealing (previous conviction). Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Layton 3' which arrived 08/12/1839. Single man. Died on board 04/12/1839 - just prior to arrival of ship.
