1831, 25 July: On arrival in NSW, Philip Dennis was listed as 30 years old, a Protestant and married with four children (2 boys, 2 girls). He could not read or write. His trade or calling was described as "ploughs, reaps, milks, sows" and his crime was listed as "stealing sacks" (see New South Wales, Australia, Convict Indents, 1788-1842).
