Convict Notes

May have left the Colony on 30 Mar 1809. The Sydney Gazette 26 Deb 1809 reports a 'Bridget Lane' as leaving on the 'Admiral Gambier'.

She married George Lane (Earl of Cornwallis) 1804 Sydney NSW

Tried 3 August 1801 NSW & Tas., Australia Convict Musters, General muster, 1806 - How employed: Ticket of leave, Condition: P, Geo Lane. Named Bridget Denney - Ancestry.com

I believe that Bridget Denny and Bridget Dinney are very likely the same person. There is very little information on both, but there is nothing on Bridget Dinney, prior to the marriage record. I suspect Bridget Denny, who was transported to NSW in March 1803 is also Bridget Dinney who married George Lane in December 1804. A Bridget Denny is also mentioned as witness in a forgery case.
