Cork Assizes. County Crown Court. Cornelius Desmond, was indicted for stealing a quantity of wheat, the property of B. Popfaam, at Guiliane, on the August. The wheat was stolen from a corn stock in a field of the prosecutor’s, and found in the prisoner’s  house —on being accused, he confessed that he had stolen it. Guilty —Seven years transportation. Cork Constitution, 7 April 1827.
