The Convict Indentures state that Mary Devine is 24 years old. She could read and write; religion Protestant; status married and a native of Dublin City. She was a laundress (good). Mary was convicted of shop lifting at Cork City on 25 August 1837 and convicted to 7 years. She had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 1 1/4 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair dark brown and eyes dark. Transport number 10. Prisoner number 10-38. Comment on Indenture entry states that 'Husband Joseph Alexander assigned to Mr McLeay'.
