Family connections for Daniel (Dickins) are: Amendments added Jun 2025. DICKINS Daniel (Dickins/Dickens/Deakin/) was born about 1795. He was tried for highway robbery of Thos (Phipps) at Northampton Assizes in July 1814, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 9 1815 after a voyage of 5months on BARING; he was Protestant. He married Ann (Beasley age16) on 15/16 10 1820 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. He was recorded in 1821 as a shoemaker, in 1823 & 1824 as a brewer & in 1826 as a cordwainer. He was Free by Servitude by 1828 when he was recorded with his family as shoemaker at Windsor. He died in 1852 age58. [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Beasley) was born on 25 11 1804 & baptised on 17 6 1804 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She was recorded with her family at Windsor. She died on 1 1 1830 age25. Details of Ann (Beasley)s family are given in entry for Charles (Beazley BARWELL 1798) on this Website. She was recorded in 1828 with her parents at Windsor. 2.Sarah (Dickins) was born on 2 2 1823 at Windsor & baptised on 9 3 1823 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. She was recorded in 1828 with her parents at Windsor. She died on 22 2 1835 age11 w/Jane. 3.Jane (Dickins) was born on 8 5 1824 at Windsor & baptised on 6 6 1824 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. In the colony, Daniel married Ann Beasley, 15th October 1820 at Windsor. Ann was the daughter of Charles Beasley (Convict, 1798, "Barwell") and Mary Thomas (Convict, 1802, "Glatton"). The couple had 5 children between 1821 and 1829. Ann died quite young, in 1829.

Northampton Mercury Sat 16 Jul 1814 p.3.... At the assizes for this county, which commence on Tuesday next before the Right Hon. Sir Alan Chambre, Knight, and the Hon. Sir Robert Graham, Knight, the following prisoners are to take their trials...and Daniel Dickins for having robbed Mr. Thos. Phipps, on the King's highway, in the parish of Rowell, of sixteen shillings.
